Will a Bath Screen Fit This Bathtub? Check Rim Geometry and Splash Path
Short answer: a bath screen must fit the bath rim, finished wall, user layout and shower spray path—not only the nominal bath length. Flat landing width, rim curvature, handles, taps, wall plumb, screen swing, seals and approved model pairing all affect containment.
A screen can physically stand on the rim and still fail to seal, open or contain splash.

Measure after the bath and wall finishes are defined
- Confirm the bath is installed level and fully supported.
- Mark the final tiled wall plane and the approved fixing zone.
- Overlay the wall profile and bottom-seal landing at full scale.
- Swing or fold a template through the complete movement envelope.
- Check handles, taps, niches and shower fittings at every position.
- Confirm the manufacturer approves the bath shape/model combination.
Containment is a layout result
Locate the showerhead on the screen wall where the supplier recommends it and direct spray away from the open end and hinge gaps. Screen width, user position, pressure and spray pattern influence escape. Do not describe a bath screen as fully watertight unless its controlled test and use boundaries support that claim.
Inspect seals without forcing them
The moving panel should be parallel to the bath top where required and the bottom seal should contact the intended landing continuously. Do not push the screen downward to compensate for a sloping rim or out-of-level bath. Confirm a slight operating clearance where the fitting instructions require one.
A small site case
A folding screen is selected after the bath is installed. Its first panel fits, but the second panel hits a deck-mounted tap and the bottom seal crosses a raised grip. Cutting the seal cannot restore the designed water path. The options are to revise the fittings, use an approved alternative screen or change the bath/screen pairing.
